ACIC IIT ( ISM) Foundation organized a seminar on " Connecting the Dots with Maya Khandelwal". Ms. Maya Khandelwal, a renowned author, poet, motivational speaker, and life coach, was the speaker of the session. She narrated life stories of entrepreneurs who had the courage to break the glass walls, like MBA chaiwala. She has also discussed her journey from a student to becoming a motivational speaker and also enlightened us about her contribution to various women in society. She also invited the participants to narrate their inspirational stories and gave her valuable insights into them. Prof. Rajiv Shekhar, Director IIT ( ISM) Dhanbad, Mrs. Vidhu Shekhar, president DLC, and prof. Saumya Singh , Director of ACIC IIT ISM Foundation, were an esteemed guest of the event. The event witnessed more than 100 participants, comprising of the incubatees of ACIC IIT (ISM) Foundation, women entrepreneurs, faculty, and students of IIT ( ISM) Dhanbad.
ACIC IIT (ISM) Foundation has organized Capacity Building Program for the local people of Jharkhand at IIT (ISM) Dhanbad. The Chief Guest of the event was Mr. Jaydeb Mahto, LAC Scientist who discussed to way to cultivate Lac and also acknowledged the participants about products made from LAC.
The objective of the event was to nurture the underprivileged Govt. School children with the power of science and innovation. Science based experiments were demonstrated to the children including manufacturing of hand sanitizer.
The main focus of the program was to get an overview of the industry's requirements/perception about commercialization (what are the barriers; what they expect from an academic institute). The participants from various Startups like discussed the key problems that they are facing, like orinova innovation technology Pvt ltd, iKure, Meraqi Digital, Tripmamu Pvt Ltd, Zeroinfy, s-Parking, Manorama Foods and Agrotech Pvt. Ltd. The CEO, ACIC IIT (ISM) Foundation discussed about the support that ACIC can provide to the budding entrepreneurs. Three start-ups have contacted us for the incubation.
The objective of the talk was to make the risk-taking ability while becoming an entrepreneur. The speaker, who is also our CSR mentor, encouraged the participants to enhance their networking.
