B.Tech. in Engineering Physics
The admission to the 4-year B. Tech. (Engineering Physics) is through the prestigious IIT-JEE (Advanced). The opening and closing ranks of students admitted to this programme are seeing an upward trend, with more and more students with better ranks opting for admission to the programme, each academic year, since 2016.
The programme includes a set of core courses together with many elective subjects so that the students can specialize in their interests. This program covers basic engineering and science subjects in the first two semesters. The subjects such as Waves & Acoustics, Classical Mechanics, Mathematical Physics, Applied Optics, Quantum Mechanics, Nuclear Science and Technology, Statistical Mechanics, Electrodynamics, Solid State Physics, Laser Physics and Technology, Atomic and Molecular Physics etc. are covered in other six semesters. Two semesters in the curriculum are solely dedicated to the elective subjects, in which students can choose according to their own choices. The students also get an opportunity to pursue an industry internship in the summer and a research project of their choice, during the last two semesters, which will serve as their first research exposure. Our Laboratories offer the ideal technical expertise and research opportunities to students.
Our graduates have won laurels at national and international levels. Many of them have obtained research positions in prestigious universities in India and abroad. Also, an increasing number of graduates have landed in jobs from top companies with excellent pay packages.
