About The Institute

Centrally located in the coal capital of India Dhanbad (Jharkhand), Indian Institute of Technology (Indian School of Mines) has been the premier and leading institute in the area of energy resource developments. Established in 1926 on the academic pattern of Royal School of Mines London (UK), IIT (ISM) Dhanbad has always been ready to meet the need for energy resources and skilled manpower in fossil fuels, mining and mineral industries. IIT (ISM) Dhanbad achieved autonomy status by GOI in 1967. It is expanded with over twenty (20) Academic Programs in the areas of Applied Geology, Applied Geophysics, Mining Engineering, Mining Machinery Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mineral Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Fuels & Minerals Engineering, Physics, Chemistry and Chemical Biology, Mathematics and Computation and Industrial Management Studies. By and large, IIT (ISM) Dhanbad has been contributing to Techno-Economic Growth of the country since its inception. Admission to all 4-Year B. Tech., 5-Years Dual Degree (B.Tech. and M.Tech./ MBA), 5-Year Integrated M.Sc./ M.Sc.Tech., and 2-Year M.Sc. program is conducted through IIT-JEE/ JAM entrance examination. IIT (ISM) Dhanbad grants admission to M.B.A., M.C.A., M. Tech., and Ph.D. programs on the basis of CAT/ GATE/ NET/ UGC/ CSIR grade scores. Institute is currently endowed with 7898 students and 406 faculty members. In the year 2025, It ranked 20th in QS World University in Mineral-Mining Engineering and 1st in India.

About The Conference

The conference “Trends and Advances in Reforming Green Energy Technologies (TARGETS-2026)” is an international forum for disseminating conceptual novelty towards green energy technologies.
