Global Initiative for Academic Networks (GIAN)
As the world of knowledge continues to expand, we are growing alongside it—advancing through GIAN,
connecting with the global community by engaging world-class tutors, and moving steadily toward state-of-the-art technology.
Program has been initiated through Global Initiative for Academic Networks (GIAN) scheme by the Ministry of Education (MoE),
Government of India. Faculty members of the Institute offer numerous GIAN programs in different areas in collaboration with
foreign experts.

Malaviya Mission Teacher Training Programme (MMTTP)
Malaviya Mission Teacher Training Programme (MMTTP) has been launched by Ministry of Education, GOI to
enhance the capacity and training of teachers/faculty. The mission aims to transform higher education by
integrating Indian values and ethos into teaching, research, publications, patents, and institutional development.
The programme establishes Malaviya Mission Teacher Training Centres (MMTTCs) across India. IIT(ISM) Dhanbad is
one such identified MMTT Centre with the objective to implement NEP recommendations, focusing on quality teaching,
equity, online education, technology use, Indian language promotion, vocational education, and multidisciplinary education.

Study Webs of Active learning for Young Aspiring Minds (SWAYAM)/ National Programme on Technology Enhanced Learning (NPTEL)
The Institute may offer NPTEL courses online or in blended mode. Students enrolling in such courses shall be governed by the guidelines of NPTEL,
and credits earned may be considered for transfer as per approval of the Competent Authority. Necessary infrastructural and mentoring support
shall be facilitated by the Institute. With SWAYAM, high-quality educational content from the best teachers in our country is accessible to
anyone, anywhere, at any time—completely free of cost.
