LabRAM HR Evolution: Raman Microscopy with Photoluminescence

Raman spectroscopy is a powerful technique for studying materials in various forms (solid, liquid, gas). The LabRAM HR Evolution Raman microscope enables both micro and macro measurements with true confocal imaging in 2D and 3D. Raman spectroscopy reveals vibrational modes influenced by molecular mass, bond strength, and symmetry. Any physical or chemical factors such as defects or impurities affecting the atomic surroundings can be analyzed through Raman spectra.

The key features of MRS include:
  • Raman range: 50 cm⁻¹ – 4000 cm⁻¹
  • Spectral resolution: ~0.2 cm⁻¹; Spatial resolution: 0.5 µm
  • Laser excitation wavelengths: 325 nm (He-Cd); 532 nm; 785 nm; 976 nm
  • Photoluminescence measurements in 400–1000 nm range
  • Objectives: 40X (NUV), 50X (LWD), 5X, 10X, 100X
  • 2D and 3D imaging with 0.01 µm Z-resolution
  • Open Electrode CCD air-cooled to −60°C
  • Gratings: 600, 1800, 2400 g/mm
