Rock Slope Engineering Lab

The Rock Slope Engineering Laboratory was established in 2021 as a dedicated research lab on mine slope stability and management approaches. The laboratory focuses on advanced monitoring, modelling and intelligent technologies for safer and more sustainable open-pit mining.

Research Infrastructure
The lab maintains UAV-based field-survey capability and associated data-processing tools for high-precision 3D reconstruction. It also works on sensor-network systems, fault diagnosis, wireless data transfer and real-time slope-health monitoring.
