Research Group?
We are a small group working on the experimental research aiming to enhance the functional properties of various ceramics materials. This includes the dielectric materials (BaTiO3, NaNbO3, SrTiO3, CCTO, etc.) and superconducting materials (MgB2, Bi-2212, YBCO, etc.), and multiferroic materials (Bismuth Ferrites). Recently, we have been started working on nano energy harvesters, perovskite Quantum Dots, superhydrophobic coating and fabrication of plasmonic substrates of SERS applications.
Expertise?
We are synthesizing the piezodielectric, dielectric, semiconducting and superconducting materials. We have successfully synthesized perovskite quantum dots of 2 nm sizes. We obtained superhydrophobic structures of contact angle more than 150o. We can measure the temperature dependant dielectic properties of various materials up to 500 oC and 5 MHz. The characteriztion setups (JC, TC and JC-B) for superconductors is underway.
Future Plan?
Other than the contemperory research topics, we aim to perform some fruitful research which will be beneficial for the society and the mankind as a whole. We will be working on a dream project if suitable research funding are available. Initial collaborative discussion are on.
