- Selected for DUO 20220 exchange program supported by ASEM DUO Secretariat for exchanged based research collaboration with University of Manchester, UK.
- Visited Poprad Tatry, Slovakia to attend International Conference ICMEM 2018 held during 18-22 June, 2018. Chaired one technical session and delivered one oral presentation. Discussed for collaborative research work with University of Košice, Slovakia and IIT(ISM) Dhanbad.
- Canara Bank research award at IIT(ISM) Dhanbad for the highest number of publications in the year 2014, 2015 and 2016.
- Visited University of Surrey, UK in October, 2016 for collaborative research followed by joint publication.
- Visited University of Windsor, Canada during Summer, 2015 as guest faculty
- The magazine 'Project Monitor ' has recognized me as one of the 'Engineering legends of India'.
- Elected as Fellow of West Bengal Academy of Science and Technology from the Engineering Section.

- Received a prestigious award “Dr. Jai Krishna Prize” in 26th Indian Engineering Congress, held on 16th December, 2011 for publication of a recent paper namely “Pushover Analysis of MDOF Systems: Explanation, Demonstration and performance study”, authored by S Das and S. C. Dutta.
- Successfully completed Fulbright Nehru Senior Research Fellowship programme administered by US Department of States, for pursuing research in Dept. of Civil and environmental Engineering, University of California, Davis.
- Selected for and delivered two invited lectures at University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth, under prestigious Occasional Lecturer Fund administered by Council for International Exchange of Scholar, US Department of State.

- Obtained Arthur Cotton Memorial Medal from Institution of Engineers (India) for best paper in Civil Engineering Division Journal of the Institution in Indian Engineering Congress, 1999-2000.
- Given away National Science Day Award 2002 for notable contribution in the field of Science and Technology, by Science Association of Bengal.
- Awarded Institute Post-Graduate Fellowship after qualifying in Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering, India.
- Awarded National Scholarship and selected for Merit Scholarships during undergraduate program.
