Key Research Focus Areas
There exists a close relationship between energy extraction processes and other valuable natural resources (e.g., water and the environment, in general). CEEER aims to understand these inter-relationships and develop technologies that will provide low-cost, sustainable energy with minimal environmental footprint. The key focus areas are following:
Coal Bed Methane (CBM)/Coal Mining Methane (CMM) - Reducing Green House Gas (GHG) emission, and monetization of methane gas prior to mining.
Development of disruptive digital technology (AI/ML based) for mining processes and Oil & Gas Exploration & Production business.
Underground coal gasification (UCG)
