As our world becomes increasingly digital, securing sensitive information and maintaining privacy is of paramount importance. This talk explores four key cryptographic techniques that are essential to achieving security and privacy in modern systems. We begin with *Data Obfuscation, a method to protect sensitive data by transforming it into a form that is unintelligible to unauthorized users, ensuring confidentiality. Next, we dive into the fascinating world of **Zero Knowledge Protocols (ZKPs), which allow one party to prove knowledge of a secret without revealing any part of the secret, enabling secure transactions and private communication. We then explore **Secret Sharing, a technique that divides a secret into multiple parts, which must be combined to reconstruct the original, enhancing resilience and reducing the risk of data compromise. Finally, we examine the role of these cryptographic principles in *Electronic Voting, where they provide secure, transparent, and verifiable ways to conduct elections, protecting voter privacy and ensuring election integrity. This talk highlights the intersection of these techniques in building trustworthy and robust digital systems in an era where privacy and security are more important than ever.
In today's digital age, the landscape of education is undergoing a significant transformation, with e-learning and online
education becoming central to how knowledge is delivered. However, as educational institutions embrace these new technologies,
it is crucial to address the security challenges that come with the rapid adoption of learning management systems (LMS),
online classrooms, and digital platforms.
This talk will delve into the pressing issues surrounding the security of learning systems, focusing on various threats faced
by educational platforms, such as data breaches, unauthorized access, and cyberattacks that jeopardize the privacy and
integrity of student data, academic materials, and institutional resources.
