About Us
This Centre of Excellence is created through funding by Ministry of Tribal Affairs, GoI to facilitate
empowerment of tribal communities in Jharkhand. This centre will design suitable capacity
building and skill development programmes for tribals of Jharkhand to boost employment,
income, livelihood, and economic well-being. The centre will create an academia-industry
government interface which will promote tribal welfare in Jharkhand. This is in line with the
vision of our Honorable Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi Ji for inclusion of tribal
communities in the societal mainstream of the country. Also, with his vision for social inclusion of
tribals, 15th November was declared as Jan Jatiya Gaurav Divas on the occasion of birth
anniversary of Bhagwan Birsa Munda.
